xChk

Text messaging program

xChk approvals by SMS · operated by Maclawran LLC

What you get: a text message when one of your own AI agents needs your approval for a consequential action, with a link to review and decide. Nothing else. No marketing, no third-party messages.

Program description

xChk lets a person license an AI agent and set what it may do on its own. When the agent proposes an action outside that authority, xChk asks the licensed person to decide. If you have enabled SMS approvals in your xChk account, that request reaches you as a text message from xChk, with a link to the approval card. You decide on the card with your passkey; the text message itself is only the doorbell.

Use case: 2FA / app notifications — transactional authorization requests for actions in your own account. Messages are event-driven and sent only to numbers whose owners enrolled them.

How you opt in

Consent is collected inside your own xChk account, after you have signed in, on the notifications settings page. The SMS consent is a separate, unchecked checkbox; it is not bundled with any other consent, and no number is enrolled without it. You then confirm the number by entering a one-time code we text to it. The checkbox reads:

xChkxChk · text messages from Maclawran LLC

Enrolling a number that belongs to someone else is not permitted; the one-time code makes sure the person holding the phone is the one consenting.
