Terms and Conditions
1. The service
xChk is a registry and gate for AI agents operated by Maclawran LLC ("Maclawran", "we"). It licenses agents to accountable people, records authorization decisions, routes approval requests to the people who answer for an agent, and produces exportable evidence. By creating an account or installing the xChk gate you agree to these terms.
2. Your account and your agents
- You are responsible for the agents you license, for the grants you give them, and for the decisions you make when asked to approve an action.
- You must be the person you enrol as. Enrolling another person's identity, phone number or passkey is prohibited.
- You may not use xChk to operate agents for unlawful purposes, to evade the gate, or to attack the registry, other users or third parties.
3. Records and evidence
The registry keeps a hash-chained record of authorization requests and decisions for each licensed agent, including refusals and emergency stops. Records are retained as evidence for the period stated in your licence and applicable law. You may export them at any time; exports are self-verifying and yours to share. Records are observations of what the system saw, not compliance verdicts.
4. Text messaging terms
If you enable SMS approvals, you consent to receive transactional text messages from xChk at the number you enrol: approval requests, expiry reminders and stop alerts for agents you answer for. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time; reply HELP for help or contact support@xchk.io or +1 305 240 2984. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of using xChk; approvals can be delivered by other channels. Our Privacy Policy describes how mobile information is handled; we will not share or sell your mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
5. Fees
Some features are paid. Prices and plan limits are shown in the service before you commit. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
6. Availability and changes
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it. The xChk gate fails closed by default: if the registry cannot be reached, gated actions are refused rather than allowed. We may change the service and these terms; material changes will be posted with a new effective date.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maclawran disclaims all warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for actions taken by agents you license. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Intellectual property
xChk, its software, marks and documentation are the property of Maclawran LLC and are protected by copyright and pending patents. Evidence you export about your own agents is yours.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Monroe County, Florida.
